Experiences in Care: My hands on and physical experience in the Care industry come from working in a care home for one year during Covid/lock down where I mostly did night shifts. I gained various qualifications/Certificates whilst getting to know residents emotional, physical and medical needs, most people had been diagnosed with dementia. My job entailed everything from cleaning the home, preparing meals, administering medication, cleaning and changing residents linen and clothing, washing and bathing residents as well as using heisting equipment. However, most importantly, my earliest memories are of visiting elderly family members in care homes, hospitals etc. I was raised to have respect, time, appreciation and to value our elderly as well as those who struggle with disabilities. We all have a story and I truly enjoy not only getting to know people but learning from their experiences and hopefully bringing a joy and positive experience to their life.
