My entire career has been based in health and social care, from a caregiver straight out of school, to a pharmacy dispenser for over 10 years, and time spent with Kent Community Care NHS Trust. My real passion is community support for the elderly. I think being able to remain safely in your own home and to access community services is hugely important and shouldn’t be something you can no longer do due to age or ill health. I myself had to isolate for some long time during the pandemic and appreciate how lonely and detached you can feel when you can no longer socialise and access services as you used to. I also undergo medical treatment at home so I know what it’s like to have a relative stranger come into your home and provide care.
