I started working for a care agency in 2004. I would travel to different care homes to help out. In 2006 I started working in a nursing home. I would assist washing and dressing residents. Assisted with preparing and sometimes feeding the residents. I would assist them to the toilet. I would do activities with the resident. For e.g.. Bingo, arts and crafts taking them for outing or just simple things like painting there nails or playing chess. In 2009 I started working for Ponder Care. This was working with people with mental health 18-65 year olds. Again I would assist with there needs and do activities. We would help manage there finances and assist with there shopping. I would often take 3-4 residents out for the day to places like Chester, Southport or Liverpool. In 2014 I Started working for Home instead senior care and I still am. In my role I work in the community. Assisting clients with washing, dressing, Assisting getting out of bed and back into bed. Meal preparation, Shopping, companionship, Household cleaning, Assisting to appointments, Collecting prescriptions. Occasionally I do sleeping nights.
