Prior to starting university, I undertook a Higher National Certificate in care and administrative practice where I achieved a grade A. As part of my course I had a placement in a care home in Edinburgh for 5 months which I thoroughly enjoyed. Before starting my college course I worked full time as a health care assistant for the NHS where I cared for patients coming to the end of their life. I love working with the elderly as they always have such interesting stories and always make me laugh!
