I am a 19 year old young woman currently studying Child Nursing at King's College London. I am in my second year of a 3 year degree at the end of which I will have a BSc Hons. I have had 3 years experience caring for children, starting when I was 16 and travelled to Costa Rica as an exchange student and helped out in the pre-school for two months. After that did casual baby sitting for a family with 3 children aged 2, 8 and 10. When I started university I started working as a part time nanny for a family with 3 boys aged 4, 6 and 8. My duties included pick up from school, taking them to after school activities, reading with them, playing with them and getting them through their evening routine which included dinner, homerwork, bathing and then putting them to sleep. I was mostly with the two younger children as the older boy liked doing things independantly. Having chosen a degree in children's nursing I particularly enjoy caring for children and have a good insight into child development and health.
