My experience in childcare include my own personal experiences as a mother to three (now adult) children and babysitting a 1 year old part time from June 2015 for 6 months, my other experiences with children aged 5 - 11 are from currently working at a Primary school from 1992 to 2014 and ages 0 - 5 currently working at a nursery since November 2017. As a teaching assistant at a primary school I was actively involved in lesson preparation, classroom management and a wide range of children’s learning activities. I particularly enjoy arts and crafts, as well as poetry and I write my own. At the nursery, I have shown great skills as a multitasker and have a great imagination which I find useful when dealing with young people to keep them interested and engaged. I put a focus on providing the children I care for with love, support and guidance so that they feel comfortable and relaxed while under my supervision. I pride myself in helping to create a fun and interactive environment for children and giving parents peace of mind while they are at work.
