I have worked with children at Fairfield Prep School for the last 4 years, at both lunch times and after school. This has been with a range of ages from lower prep to upper prep, offering me diverse experiences and the opportunity to gain skills in looking after all ages of children. I also regularly babysit for neighbours and friends, at night or throughout summer holidays, working with children aged 3-14 years, one with both learning and physical disabilities. Adding to this, I lived in France for 2 months, looking after 3 little boys from the ages of 3-10yrs. This entailed dropping them off at school and various clubs, putting them to bed and preparing their food among other chores such as washing, cleaning etc. I supervised the children at the beach and in the sea, often planning activities in the day to keep them entertained.
