I hold a degree in Early Childhood studies which gave me a great knowledge base before working with SEN children, this course broadened my knowledge, confidence and skills to act as an advocate for young children, their families and communities. I am currently a Senior Practitioner at the Co-Operative Childcare. Within my role I have had the opportunity to promote inclusion for SEND children, and I have been supporting selected pupils consistently and recognising and responding to their individual needs. In my current role I work close with the Deputy Manager who is also a SENCO to carry out assessments of children with SEN to identify their needs and monitor their progress.
