I have GCSE and A Levels in child and care and development. I have worked in nursery setting and a school setting which I have been at for 2years. In my first year I worked in a high COIN unit working alongside children with autism. During this time I learnt new skills and strategies that will best help there needs such as the use of symbols, minimal language and processing time. I have also planned and lead activities out in this setting which I have set up in attention autism buckets. For my second year I have been 1:1 a child with needs which is taught me new behaviour and reward strategies. I also carry out care for children with autism before school and after school where we enjoy playing games, singing songs and “going on adventures”.
