I'm certified as an Early Childhood Education Assistant by the Vancouver Community College in British Columbia, Canada. I also have a certificate in Advanced Children Protection from the YMCA and First Aid Certificates from FireMedix Training and St. John Ambulance. Finally, I have several certificates in Understanding and Implementing the BC Early Learning Framework. I first began working with children eight years ago, volunteering in summer camps and Sunday school. I’ve since then explored several sectors of childcare, including private, preschool, daycare and after-school settings. I’ve worked with a broad range of families, both domestically and internationally, with twins and/or multiple children, single mothers and with special needs relating to dyslexia/learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety disorders and autism. I’m comfortable with kids of all ages; I’ve worked extensively with infants as young as two months, as well as toddlers and elementary school aged children.
