I have 11 GCSEs grade B or above. I have 3 A Levels and a 2:1 bachelor's degree in Sociology. I also have a TEFL qualification. I believe I will be able to help with homework and I am willing to relearn any gaps in my knowledge. I volunteer with my local Beaver Scout group, working with children aged 5-8 once a week. From this volunteer position I have been able to learn how best to keep children entertained for a few hours whilst also keeping them from becoming disruptive. In 2018 I moved to Beijing, China to become a teacher. I was teaching in a kindergarten in Beijing for 2 years. I taught children aged 2-6. I was in charge of a classroom of 20 children and it was my responsibility to look after those children over the course of the day. I also have some experience with older children as I have worked in summer camps in China and in the UK. I worked with Chinese students aged 8-15 and Italian students aged 14-16. I enjoy working with children and intend to become a qualified teacher in the UK. I am looking for a job working in this field to continue gaining experience and to also allow myself to have a job that I can look forward to going to every day.
