I have 6 years experience of working in a primary school, 2 year in private education and 4 year in mainstream. Within the mainstream school 2 years of that have been working with SEND children. I have worked across many different years, including year 1, year 3, year 4, year 5 and year 6, also helping out in the nursery. Furthermore I have looked after a 7 year old child with special educational needs out of the school sector. I have taken him to his hobbies/activities, prepared and cooked his meals, done household duties, and focused on supporting him with his speech and language. I’m qualified as a level 3 teaching assistant and first aid trained. I have completed my team teach training and STARs training focusing on children with autism/SEND. I have experience with newborns as I have recently become an auntie to twins and have had them both over night. Patience is key and I have lots of it! I’m very kind and creative, love trying new things with children. I am very domesticated too, I love a clean home and would be willing to participate in household duties. Nutrition is also key and I would always prepare good nutritious meals. Communication is important and I would always communicate.
