I have experience with children and pets as I care for my own 2 dogs who I often walk and feed and my younger brother who is now thirteen. I’m always helping him with his homework, making him food and cooking him meals. I’ve also babysat for my parent’s friend’s children and looked after my cousins for long periods of time in which I entertained them, played games with them, read them books and helped improve their own reading skills as well as helping local primary school children with their reading as a volunteer. I helped 2 young girls improve their confidence with their reading as well as teaching them new vocabulary along the way and helping them improve their phonics with words they struggled with. In addition, I have looked after and helped many other primary school children when I spent 2 weeks doing work experience in reception. I don’t start University until the end of September and I am hoping that during this critical time, I can help the many parents who are struggling with childcare.
