Hi, my name is Shannon. I have cared for young children and young adults for 11 years now. I started working when I was 13, I am now 24 years old. Usually I care for children with disabilities and support the family with care at home or taking them out for the day. However I have also had experience with mainstream children and I have a very calming presence which makes the children feel at ease. I have worked as a team leader in an after school club (I did this for 5 years). I have also trained as a teacher in a primary school and secondary school. I am currently waiting to start my new job as a teacher in July so I am looking for some work for the next three weeks. I am a fun, reliable and caring person. I love working with children and I have very good behaviour management skills whilst having the most fun we can have together to build a good bond. I am adaptable for when things change and I am always happy to follow your preferences for your child. I can cater for all needs and abilities. I have taken numerous training and lots of safeguarding courses to support me in the care of young children.
