I graduated from Warwick University with a 2:1 and I am due to start a Masters Degree at the University of Sussex in September. I am enthusiastic, confident and love working with children. Throughout my teens I babysat for family friends and neighbours and, since graduating, I have taken on a number of childminding roles I have no formal childcare qualifications but have a significant amount experience working with children. Most recently, I was a mentor for Warwick Sutton Scholars, which provided academic support to young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. I mentored a group of 10 children and was required to organise engaging and educational activities that inspired academic enthusiasm. I also volunteered with Homework Zone in Montreal which is an organisation that provides extra academic assistance for disadvantaged children. I was paired with one child for a large proportion of the time which allowed me to efficiently understand what a support that child needed and how best to work with them in order to ensure comfort and inspire greatness. I also gained work experience in a local pre-school, during which I developed in-depth experience in teaching Early Years skills.
