I have worked as an au paid in Madrid and Murcia , I lived in Madrid for 6 months looking after 2 young girls, 9 months and 5 years old. my job intailed me to look after the girls , playing with them bathing them, dressing them and talking to them in english . I stayed with them for 6 months . I then moved to Murcia where I looked after a young boy who was 3 and 4 weeks old , this job intailed me to do bottle feeds, changing , feeding , cooking and light house work and also talking to them in english we also done arts and crafts and trips to the park . I have a basic understanding in spanish as i embraced there culture for the 2 years that I was there . I build a great rapport with the family which is essential when you are looking after somoneon elses child . I left spain and came back to help my mother look after my gran who lives with Dementia . I was lucky enough to appy for a job within the NHS was offered a post as care assistant in cardiology , in this job I would wash and dress patients , assist with meals take out canulas , I would assist the nurse on shift also dealing with admissions.
