I have been looking after children in one way or another for 20 years now and now have 2 of my own. I became a childminder in 2015. What started out as babysitting for one family, soon progressed to many more families, a qualification in Childhood Studies, an Au Pair job in America, working in a nursery, looking after friends and families' children, and now a mum. I have experience in working with children from birth up to 13 years old and within that were twins in a family of four. Having worked and used childcare for my eldest, I also have experience in what parents and children need from childcare providers. Friends and family have always said I have a way with children and it looks so natural the way I am with them. The way I see it is, you can get so much satisfaction looking after children, not only from seeing them develop physically, but also how something so simple can make their day, both of which makes what I do, looking after children and having my own so rewarding.
