I have been a part-time Nanny to one family of three boys for the last 7 years, starting when the youngest was 8 months; obviously, as they are getting older they need me less. Also part-time with other families in amongst that. I am looking to work for another family where I can help with all aspects of childcare, particularly helping the child to learn the beginnings of reading and writing, drawing, craftwork, and learning about the natural world all around us, and hopefully make your job a bit easier. I do Voluntary work with HomeStart where I am a home support visitor to families with children under 5. Within HomeStart I have completed an 'NOCN course 'Preparing to work with children and young people' with extra training on 'Behavioural issues in under 5's' and 'School readiness' Just finished a course called 'Building Babies Brains' - fascinating! DBS checked and a paediatric first aid certificate.
