I am a 58 year old mother of 2 grown up children & an 11 year old son. I am currently working as a nanny, looking after a 2 yr old in his own home, on a part-time basis (av. 20 hours a week). I am now looking for a few more hours, to supplement my income. I am willing to be flexible in my working. I am not an Ofsted Registered Childminder but have had lots of prior experience working professionally with children. I have an up to date DBS certificate, hold a current valid driving license and can provide references. I live in Darlington, DL1 & have my own transport. I trained as a primary school teacher and have had 13 years experience of teaching Nursery & KS1 in an inner city London school. I have subsequently worked in day nursery settings, teaching & supporting children aged 6 months to 5 years old. My area of interest & expertise is the Early Years. I was employed for over 5 yrs as a Police Community Support Officer in SW London, before moving North with my young son. Since then, I have spent time raising my son & working in private childcare as a nanny/childminder within the child/ren's family home. I enjoy swimming, reading, cooking, film, music & walking in the countryside. I am comfortable around pets.
