My first job at the age of 14 was a babysitting job every Friday night for a family friend. My experience started personally rather than professionally, always wanting to help out with my baby brother (at the time), cousins and any younger ones. It came to me naturally from a young age to nurture and care. Children have always brought me joy so I have continued to babysit on the side for family and friends over the years. I currently have two nieces, one at 8 years old and the other 5 weeks old that I care for when their parents are working. I take the responsibilities of babysitting seriously while at the same time making it fun and engaging for the children. My experience includes picking up and dropping off from school and nursery, making basic tea time meals/lunches/snacks, bathing and bedtime routines, active play and activities. I value being in tune with each child as an individual and being in alignment with various age groups and abilities. My care is always reflected with respect for the boundaries and wishes of the parents. Overall I desire to show each child compassion and care ensuring they always feel safe and secure.
