I have been working with children for 14 years. I started working with children in a Nursery school after completing a Diploma in childcare and education. At the nursery I worked with Children aged from 6 months to 4 years. I then decided to go to University to gain more knowledge and a better understanding of children. I went to Leeds Met to study a BA (hons) in Playwork, where I worked with youth offenders and also in a children's hospital on my work experience placements. Whilst I was at university, I worked as an after school nanny, which I enjoyed doing, so when I finished University, I decided to work full time as a nanny. I loved working directly with children again, I did this for about year and a half before choosing to work with children with behavioural difficulties in a pupil referral unit. I then went on to work as a Family Support worker for children's services in Surrey which is where I still am now. I am now a Mum myself and have a 3 year old daughter and a 20 month old son. I am currently looking for temporary Nanny work, and ad hoc babysitting and evening babysitting.
