I first worked as a young leader of a rainbows group, entertaining the children, taking them out for outings e.g. bowling, playing games, serving drinks and snacks! And almost importantly taking care of them and ensuring that rainbows was always as fun as it could possibly be! When I studied my level 2 in childcare at Nescot college I went to placement 2 days a week at cheam fields primary school where I worked in a reception class, I absolutely adored the children and their ages. During this time I helped children read 1 to 1, taught children 1 to 1, played with the children, planned my own activities and carried them out and observed children. I absolutely loved my role and didn’t want to leave! Current role - I have been working at aspire day nursery in Surbiton since September 2018, I have worked with children aged 9 months and up. I love my job and seeing how children grow and learn thanks to the work that we put in e.g. planning and assessing the needs of every child to ensure them the best and equal opportunities.
