I have 37 years of experience of working in the childcare sector in various forms, since completing NNEB in 1987. The settings include Nannying, nursery nurse in private nurseries, Family Support Worker in Children's centres, Family Liason Worker in Kingston's Safeguarding team, Peripatetic Playworker, Foster Carer for 3 years, Playgroup Supervisor, parent of two daughters, now 18 and 22 years old. During this time I have worked with parents and children of multicultural backgrounds and various special needs. I understand the importance of liaising effectively with the parents and providing a safe, stimulating, loving environment for the children to learn, develop, achieve milestones, have fun and encourage self care, manners, safety
