I’ve spent two years in the UK between 2004-2006 to learn English and expand my knowledge of diverse cultures. During this time I worked as an au-pair with two families. Looked after two children (1-year- old boy and a two years old girl) in Farnham and then moved to Teddington to support a family with three children (Two years old boy, and 4 and 6 years old girls). With both families, I worked 32 hours per week and helped them primarily for childcare and also basic housekeeping. I have also worked with other families part-time on babysitting, cleaning and ironing approximately 12 hours per week. I also worked at private nursery called Pembe Mavi in Turkey between 2007-2008.My duties are, - Assisting class teachers in the classroom - Monitoring children to ensure they remain safe during activities - Listening to children, offering comfort when needed, and resolving minor spats and squabbles - Preparation, serving, and cleanup of snacks or meals. I have moved back to the UK with my family in 2018 and I have a working visa.
