Whilst studying for my degree in London I worked for two families with children aged 4 and 10. My responsibilities included picking up the children from school, preparing meals, and entertaining them with activities until their parents arrived home from work. As well as my nannying experience I also have experience in working with foster children, in the last 4 years I have been very hands-on with helping my parents with foster children including babies ranging in different ages and disabilities. I am very patient and understanding of children, I find communicating and building trust easy with children taking their feeling and opinions into consideration. I believe that keeping children active and taking part in creative activities keeps a positive mindset resulting in contented and happy children. Although I am not a registered childminder, I have been through all checks by social services and have a personal reference from a Lincoln County Council social worker.
