I am a 23 year old, Speech and Language Therapist working in mainstream schools with children with speech, language and communication needs, including ASD and social communication difficulties, language difficulties and articulation disorders. Before starting my career as an SLT, my part time job was as a playworker at a private school in the after care department. This involves the care of children before and after school hours; I also work in the holiday club where children attend if their parents are at work or have other commitments. I have also previously volunteered in a primary school as an assistant, listening to children read and creating a stimulating environment. Outside of the school environment, I have done babysitting for parents with toddlers which I found challenging (!) but extremely good fun. Aside from this, I love to dance. I have been dancing since I was 4 years old and have not missed a single Strictly season! I have represented my university in advanced jazz and tap at nationwide competitions. I am also regularly DBS checked and first aid trained.
