Coming from a boarding school, I learned how to take care of myself from an early age. Being a mentor to the younger year groups has taught me to always hold myself in an exemplary manner. I learned to clean up after myself and made sure that my environment was always left neat and tidy. Prior to that, I babysat for my neighbor’s kid after school. At the young age of 11, I made sure that he was well looked after. This meant; providing food for him to eat, making sure his schoolwork was complete and allowing him time for leisure after. I take initiative and I strive to make sure that the kids’ needs are met. As a child-carer, I am ready to take on any challenges that I may face in a tranquil manner. I’m continuously learning as a person, so I’ll never be rigid in my practices. I’m flexible and am open to receiving feedback.
