Hello! My name is Melody and I'm an undergraduate student studying Politics and Spanish at the University of Edinburgh. I love working with children and have been volunteering and working with them for many years now. I volunteered with Brownies for 2 years as a Young Leader and have years of babysitting experience. I also work as a Playworker at a holiday and after school club (ages 4-14), which includes facilitating play and all kinds of activities. Here I also provide one to one support for children with disabilities and other special educational needs. Additionally, I have taught children to play piano and to read. I am DBS checked. My approach to working with children is always to encourage play as their primary means of social, emotional, and physical development, to give them the skills that provide foundations for a happy life!
