I have just returned from working at a sleepaway summer camp in the US for two months, where- along with my co-counsellors- I took on parental responsibility of 25 girls. I lived in a cabin with them to take care of any need they had from morning to night- and even in the middle of the night. My role was vast and included guiding the children through homesickness, making sure they were eating well and playing games with them during our free time to name a few. I also taught cooking skills to children across the camp which has always been a passion of mine. A longstanding hobby of mine since childhood as been athletics, competing at a high level as a teenager. I am still a very active person who loves running around and being outdoors. I have just graduated with a 2:1 in BA American Studies and History from the University of Nottingham. I come from a large family with young children and have loved looking after my younger family members from a young age. I'm looking to work at least 30 hours per week. I am happy to prepare meals but not general housekeeping.
