Hello, I'm Maria, an International Relations student and a passionate babysitter! My experience: I spent 10 months as an after-school nanny for a 6-year-old girl in 2022. Prepared dinner, supported her with homework, took her swimming, and tennis, and organised playdates with friends. Ensured a safe and enjoyable environment during the post-school hours. Since 2023 I have supported 5 London families (babysitting over 6 children). My activity focused on providing dinner, managing night routines and bedtime stories, and ensuring a peaceful night's sleep among many other things :-) Fun fact about me: I used to play cello for three years when I was younger. Outside of academics, I've been into horse riding since the age of 6, and competing for 3 years. Also, I speak Spanish and love reading. Additional non-paid experience: for 3 consecutive summers, I cared for my 2 cousins aged 4 and 10. Engaged them in age-appropriate activities, ensured adherence to routines and guidelines provided by parents, and maintained a vigilant watch over their well-being. Furthermore, for two years, I volunteered with a charity in Portugal, organising activities for young single mothers and their babies and toddlers.
