Hi, My name is Maggie, I’m 23 years old and my dream career is to work in early years education. In 2020, I was set to start my early years education degree at Northumbria Uni but covid gave me a lot of bad luck and I now aim to start my degree when I’m 25. I grew up with an interest in children’s psychology but I admit I don’t have the strength to be a children’s psychologist! I have 8 nieces and nephews in total, from ages 3 months to 11 years and I have been babysitting for my sisters since I was 14 so I have almost ten years of personal experience of caring for newborns, toddlers and young children. I have also cared for family friend’s children, and have experience of caring for children with additional needs such as ADHD and cerebral palsy. My most recent DBS is dated May 2024 however I can get another one if needed. I don’t have a car but I do take my nieces and nephews out on the bus and metro when I babysit so I have experience with public transport safety. I am based in the South Shields area and I am currently between jobs so I am available at all times! I look forward to hearing from you.
