I have always enjoyed mentoring and working with younger kids, be it at school or at home. In the past, I have babysat two girls and their two cats and derived great satisfaction. I thoroughly enjoyed bonding with the girls and I really enjoyed spending time with them. At school, I also mentored students in both an academic and non-academic capacity and I found it very rewarding. I have just finished by first year of Biology at the University of Oxford and next year I will be a welfare representative for my college, meaning I am responsible for connecting with students across all ages, ensuring they feel mentally and physically supported. The training I have received to undertake this role will help me care for children of a variety of ages.
