My name is Lyla I am 19 years old and looking to pursue a career working in early years settings. I have currently returned from working two months in Canada Ontario as a summer camp counsellor. In this role I was expected to provide 24/7 child care to 13 children below the age of 10. For the past three years I have babysat for the children in my village on a weekly basis, forming strong trusting relationships with them. I volunteer to teach a 5-7-year-old and 7-10-year-old theatre group at my local arts centre, where I guide the kids in developing their imaginations and communication skills. I am fully DBS checked and have an A* in GCSE health and social care. I am looking for a job that will provide me with additional childcare experience and will correlate successfully with my undergraduate studies at the University of Newcastle. Overall I aim to create a fun-loving environment when caring for children that is safe and that they look forward to throughout the week.
