I have been babysitting for families since the age of fourteen years old. These families included toddlers to primary school age. I also completed a week’s work experience at a sure start children's centre where I looked after infants in the crèche and helped organize and run parent and toddler groups and attended pre-natal and anti-natal home visits. I used to be a volunteer leader at the youth group at my local church this is focused towards ages 12 to 16 years and building supportive and encouraging relationships with the young people. I recently returned from Australia after living there for 4 years as a volunteer worker supporting refugee families that had resettled in Australia. One of my roles was to help run a homework club in a local primary school to help kids with their homework. Whilst I was there I babysat for friends which included a new born baby and toddlers. I also have spent quite a few months in developing countries doing a lot of work with kids whether in refugee camps, orphanage, or community events, organising and running engaging fun activities for children and also running a kids keep safe programme.
