My fundamental skills as a nanny/ babysitter come from my roots. I come from a catholic family with 10 siblings where each sibling cared and looked after each other from the get go. I adore coming from a big family and it has given me a complex and great understanding of how to help parents. Every one of my siblings has helped raise the next one. My first job at the age of 16 was being a nanny for a family friend. I was in charge of four children - ranging from the ages of 8 to new born. My duties included- general childcare (I.e entertainment, excursions outside of the house) bathing, feeding, bedtime duties, cleaning- which does include any extra house hold cleaning you would allow me to do at no extra cost. During Covid I made a decision to become a support worker for adults with learning difficulties. From this job experience I am open completely to working with children with learning difficulties. I also learnt extra training in first aid, medication administration and building personalised day plans for my client’s. I take great enjoyment being around children and love to make their experience with me the most joyful it can be.
