As an Anglo-American I have been fortunate enough to gain significant experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings. I have been a Holiday Activity Scheme Leader and Lifeguard at Culford for two years. This involved the creation of daily programmes for children aged 5-13 including swimming, sporting and creative activities. Through Culford, I qualified as a lifeguard from 2015-2017 and obtained a 3 year Safeguarding Qualification. Last summer I spent at Camp Becket in Massachusetts as the Creative Arts Director. In this role I created and taught programs for three creative arts classes (creative arts, ceramics and drawing/painting) over two 4-week periods for boys aged 7-15. As part of the training, I completed an American Red Cross First Aid Course which is valid through 2021, Concussion Training, Equal Opportunities/Diversity Training and Armatus Learn to Protect Training. I have been a private tutor since 2014, tutoring twins from ages 9-13 and am currently tutoring a 9 year old in Humanities subjects. I have relished volunteering roles at my local library and park that have summer reading and outdoor activity programmes for underprivileged children.
