I have a lot of experience working with children during my five years working closely with children a variety of ages as a swimming teacher and assistant. My role as a teacher includes me making and following a basic term plan, as well as creating specific lesson plans to suit the children's needs, ensuring I cater to physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs. I also ensure that I promote good behavior by using positive reinforcement to encourage children to enjoy their lessons. During my first year of Health and Social care at college I worked in little worlds nursery as a part of my course and worked with children between the ages of 12 months to 24 months. My role in the nursery was to watch over the children and ensure they were all playing nicely, I would also sit with a group of children every week and do either a counting or reading activity to encourage them to start learning.
