I am a second-year psychology students at Nottingham Trent, I’m looking for part-time work alongside my studies. I have a range of experience with children, meaning I am confident with a variety of age groups and am able to care for children with special needs.
In 2016 I volunteered in a nursery for six months working with children up to four years, helping with the cleaning, serving food and playing and reading with the children.
I have also done volunteered in the hospital with the neurodevelopmental and mental health teams. I observed the professionals which enabled me to learn new techniques in helping children with Autism, ADHD and mental health issues.
I am also one of five siblings and have looked after my younger siblings a lot. My sister has Autism so I have first-hand experience in meeting her needs and taking care of her alongside my other siblings.
I have also started volunteering at a local primary school which I love doing, I assist the teacher in learning time and play games with the kids in their free time and help tidy.
I completed a level 1 childcare course but have found that my volunteer work since then has given me more skills in working with children.
I hope you will consider me.
