Experience: Teaching Assistant Primary School I have worked as a teaching assistant for over 6 years now. I trained for 4 years passing my level 2 and 3 in Supporting teaching and learning. I have worked in Reception, year 1, year 2 and year 3. During that time, I have worked as an Individual Needs Assistant looking after and teaching a young girl with special needs. I know what young children are interested in and have plenty of knowledge in different areas such as teaching phonics and taking speech and language intervention groups. I can use my creative skills to make activities for children that are fun and help them learn at the same time. I work out on the playground interacting with the children day in and day out, making good rapports. The children know they can trust me and often come to me and seek me out if they need help or want to talk.
