I have been working with children for 5 years, both in a domestic setting as a sole charge Nanny, as well as a qualified Nursery Nurse. I chose this career path as I enjoy giving children the care they require as well as having the privilege to help them learn and thrive. Currently I am part of a team in a well established nursery that helps provide excellent care and education to children. I have my own group of key children who are aged 2-3, which I am responsible for creating strong, caring, trusting relationships. As well as providing love and care, I am responsible for continuously monitoring their progress in able to plan appropriate, stimulating activities. Before working at this nursery, I was a Nanny for a lovely family with 2 young boys. Unfortunately I had to leave this job due to moving to Leeds. I have participated in a lot of travelling around different parts of the world, where I gained a lot of invaluable experience and skills. Throughout my travelling, I participated in a volunteer project, caring for disadvantaged children, in a township in South Africa. This extremely challenging yet rewarding experience, made me realise that working with children is definitely the career I want to pursue.
