Young at Heart recently retired SRN and Social worker. I am a mother of 2 daughters and a son. They are all working in medical fields. I have 2 grandchildren. My granddaughter has recently graduated with a first class honours degree in oncology and radiotherapy. My grandson is studying for a degree in Social Work. I qualified as State Registered Nurse in 1973 and went on to be a Ward Sister until 1985. I took a career change and worked for Hampshire County Council and Southampton City Council as a Social Services Officer. The Councils seconded me to study for my qualification in Social Work (CQSW) I was then employed as a Specialist Advisor to Southampton City Housing Department and worked alternate weekends as a First Response Officer, Dealing with medical and social emergencies across Southampton. I am currently working for a family with four children twice a week, a Doctor whose children I collect from school twice a week and babysit for a lady whose son has special needs.
