I began my childcare career in 2003. I underwent my SVQ 2&3 whilst learning to care for children age 2-3, then followed by preschool age 3-5. Soon after I qualified as a Nursery Nurse I was promoted to Room Leader, caring for babies aged 0-1. After my son was born I opted for a better work/ life balance. I began working at an After School Care in December 06, 6 months after my son was born. As he grew, so did my desire for a challenge. I began volunteering at the school which we provided our service to. 10 years later, I have worked as a Pupil Support Asst at one of the best schools in Glasgow. I’m now currently in wonderful school in East Dunbartonshire, supporting pupils in all aspects of their learning. I pride myself on building wonderful relationships with the children in my care. Throughout my career I have supported children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia & Dyspraxia. I am qualified in First Aid, Food Hygiene, Epipen’s, ACE’s, Diabetes & Attachment Disorder to name a few. I have gained invaluable experience and immense joy from my 19 year long career in caring for and supporting children. My objective is always to ensure that all children are safe, happy & heard.
