I am a creative, caring and trustworthy person with the ability to adapt confidently to each young person I have worked with. I have excellent communication skills and will always put the child's safety first. I have 3+ years experience in child care, which includes babysitting and support work. With my babysitting experience, I have cared for children from newborn to 13 years old and have been responsible for up to 3 children at a time. My responsibilities included preparing and cooking nutritious meals, feeding, assisting with morning and bedtime routines, organising and supervising activities and general care. In my role as a Residential Support Worker, I worked on a One to One basis with young people from the ages of 7-17. My responsibilities included, caring for the young persons needs, whether it be special educational needs, behavioural needs or just day to day needs, preparing and cooking nutritious meals, daily house work, record keeping, assisting with morning and bedtime routines, school drop off and pick up, supervising after school/weekend activities, being creative and educating the young people on safety, relationships etc.
