I worked at an after school and holiday club for a year where I gained my level 2 in childcare. During my time in this role I have also babysat for several of the children outside of the club. I also have experience working in a nursery with children aged 0-5. Whilst I am a bookworm and would happily read all the great works of fiction, like around the world in 80 days and Alice in wonderland, with the children to really encourage their imagination, I also love getting outdoors and messing about, I have a real muck-in attitude and enjoy showing children different wildlife and flora and fauna. As well as thinking up fun and silly activities to do such as building a den, making wildlife catchers and balloon face tea parties. Which I believe is vital for their development. I also offer a nurturing environment, preferring a calm approach, and will always make an effort to explain and teach the children so they can grow with resilience and understanding.
