I am a second year Classics student at Oxford University looking for a job over the summer. I have played an active role in caring for my younger brother since he was born (he is now 9), and have extensive experience in babysitting up to three children at a time over the last 5 years. This experience includes babies and toddlers as well as children with additional needs. I have also done a considerable amount of volunteer work with children over this 5 years, including working as an assistant ballet and tap dancing teacher, participating in a program to help underprivileged children in Singapore with their literacy, and working as a teaching assistant at one School for special educational needs, where I became familiar with some augmentative and alternative methods of communication including PECS and some Makaton sign.
