I started First steps Nursery Nhs as a student to complete my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in child care. For this course I had experience with all ages starting from 3 months to 5 years. I Qualified in July 2015. I now work in the 2-3 year old room on a daily basis. However, sometimes cover in other rooms and have cared for all ages while being at First Steps. As part of my daily routine I plan activities, carry out tasks including food preparation, focus on the learning of children to enhance their development, observe and carry out group time to fill out individual profiles on each child, engage children and support in potty training, set up the room to promote each learning areas of the Early Years Foundation stage and make it as fun and stimulating as I can. I work in a very fast pace and busy nursery and I am used to being on the go all the time. I work very closely alongside my team and with my room senior supporting her with her daily jobs. Most importantly care for each and every child to meet their individual needs. While being at First Steps Day Nursery I have had the opportunity to complete my Team Leading qualification and Understanding of Autism qualification.
