I am a qualified English teacher and I've been teaching for 17 years. However I would like to change career but still work with children. I have huge wealth of experience looking after my own children who are now 18 and 12, pupils in school and I also privately mentor and tutor. I have many transferable skills from both being a teacher and a mother. I believe passionately in nurturing children and helping them build skills for life. I am passionate about being a good role model and getting children to embrace life to the full. I have excellent communication skills and I'm very patient. I use a range of strategies to encourage children to display posiive and appropriate behaviours and I am very good at supporting children emotionally and socially. I choose to work with children as I love to see them flourish, thrive and achieve their dreams and goals. I would be delighted to work closely with a family to help them bring up their children and to support in any way I can.
