Hi - I'm Laura - I'm 18-years-old and recently departed from Year13 of Secondary School (having attended St Paul's Girls' School in Hammersmith). I am currently on a gap year and beginning the process of applying to University this autumn, but would be very eager indeed to find a childcare placement in the meantime! I'm an only child but one whose always thrived in interactions with younger children, having had some of my best memories chasing family friends' bemused toddlers round and round a playground park, or entertaining a giggling 8-year old for almost 3 hours straight by playing a slightly crazy game with his Pokemon cards. Childcare really appeals to me as not only do I enjoy it but (not to toot my own horn...) I have been told repeatedly by parents that I have managed to build an incredible rapport with their child: something that in turn makes me incredibly proud, and incredibly happy. I have a bunch of references available from previous and current stints tutoring, mentoring at homework clubs, and from previous babysitting opportunities, that I'd be more than happy to supply on request.
