I have worked as a teaching assistant now for 3 years. I have worked in mainstream schools with year 3 and 4 classes but am currently at a special needs school working primarily in the nursery department although I have worked up in the older classes when help has been needed. I work with autistic children for the most part and work on an ABA program. I have a level 2 supporting teaching and learning qualification and as part of this I took part and passed a level 2 paediatric first aid certificate. Through my current school I have also completed manual handling training, communication training and safeguarding training. I also have an up to date DBS check. In my spare time I also babysit, and am currently working with a family with a one and half year old. Before I acquired a full time TA job I also ran a small cleaning business where I weekly cleaned 4 houses with varying requirements. I have been driving for 2 and a half years and bought my own car in the June of 2016. I am non smoker and non drinker and have always grown up with animals in the house and would be happy to work with and around them. In my spare time I love to bake and craft. I will often bake cakes and particularly like to paint and draw.
