My name is Latia and I am 23 years old. I have always shown an interest and had a passion for working with children and adults My first job was a nursery apprentice, this job gave me the opportunity to gain experience in a childcare setting as well as developing new skills. Working in a nursery with all age ranges included giving medication, writing and reporting, ensuring that there was a safe and clean environment and as well as many other important responsibilities and requirements. I then later on at 19-23 decided that my full time goal was to have my own care home for children which is what I am working towards till this day. When working with children and adults I developed many new skills and knowledge which made my confidence grow as a support worker. I have 4 years of experience in working in this industry and I want to continue to develop more. I have learned and been educated on safe guarding and I am aware and understand the policy’s and procedures and care planning criteria.
